Green Gables Revisited by Erika MastersonThis past year was one of the best for me on many levels. Yes there was lots of good stuff, but I’m most grateful for the lessons learned. One thing I learned in 2016 with great clarity is that “Busyness kills creativity”. Don’t get me wrong, there are just times that we can’t help but be busy. Then there are times we just choose to be busy. I do that to myself more than I’d like to say. But what I’ve learned from it is invaluable. God is the ultimate creator. He wants us to co-create with him in whatever we are doing. If I fill my life with busyness how can I hear him? It’s proven true for me too many times to ignore. You know how they say if you are doing too many things at once, everything suffers. Or “Jack of all trades, but master of none”. This year I’m choosing to be more selective. I’d like to be able to put my time into people/things and ¬†truly be in the moment. To serve and glorify God in what I do because I am present and work hard. And stop doing the things that ¬†clutter my clarity. I’m seeking peace. I am grateful for the lessons learned. I am hopeful that 2017 is going to be an amazing year! I hope the best for all my friends and family as well! 😊 Erika Masterson
