2024 Recap!

2024 has been quite a year for me!

It’s been such a busy year that I must review my iPhone photos to remember everything! Early in the year, we had the major milestone of moving houses. But it wasn’t just one house; it was also moving my mom in with us. This took us a few months of grueling work packing and moving carloads, two big moving days, and unpacking. We are blessed to be able to be close to my mom. I also gained the best art room I’ve ever had!

In March, I was honored to speak at Career Day for my local Middle School.

In April I had such an amazing experience at Fifth Avenue Art Gallery with a month-long Solo show! And sold several pieces of Art!

In April, I also gave a presentation to our local Photographer Group Camera Club of Brevard. I always enjoy sharing my Art and processes with other photo enthusiasts!

While all this is going on, in the background, I am setting up a new website and releasing new Art Collections into the world. I released Upsidedown Kingdom, Uncharted Territories and Deeply Found is almost fully Released!

Boom! Then, in April, I turned 54! Yikes!

Early May, my husband and I took a short trip up to our cabin in North Carolina. It is the best place to rest and unwind.

In late May, my dear friend Katren came for a visit, and she took branding photos of me! And our friend Robin assisted. It was such a great time, and she did an amazing job!

In June, I took my oldest daughter, Emily, up to our cabin to prepare it for Air B&B! Even though we worked tirelessly for 4 days straight, 10 hours a day, we still managed to have a great time!

Now, in between all this stuff are the usual family things like birthdays, my daughter's graduation, Mother’s Day, Father's Day, tea parties, bible studies, and my youngest son started playing golf tournaments! Let’s keep going…..!

August was finally here for our annual trip up to the cabin. Three glorious weeks! Creatively, I took photos and videos of the beautiful scenery and prepared content to use in my YouTube videos. My husband helped me create this image in the morning fog I love so much!

Upon our return, I had lots of film to develop and create videos of that! Here are some portraits of my son’s girlfriend.

In October, three birthdays, a prom, and a hurricane! Also, the prior hurricane Helene's eye went over our cabin in NC; luckily, there was no damage! Milton’s eye went over our house in Florida! How ironic!

Here are a few photos of my daughter Sara for her 19th Birthday.

I also took my Dear friend Melany up to the cabin for the Fall leaves and a photo shoot for her new album Kingdom of Love. Photos from that here too!

In November, I had a few photographs in an Art Show at Derek Gores Gallery in Melbourne, FL. Thanks Derek!

Also, in November, my oldest son got engaged! I’m so happy for them!

I had my work featured on the Cover of Shadow & Light Magazine, as well as several pages inside! What an honor!

I did a three-year photo shoot of my adorable granddaughter Hazel as well!

At The end of November, I was asked again to judge the annual photo completion for the Camera Club of Brevard! Always fun!

I also took several canvas prints to be on display at Rebellion Beachside in Cocoa Beach! It’s a fabulous restaurant if you are in my area!

I am saving the best for last, so if you’ve read this far, you must really be a fan! Thank you! My husband and I bought a small travel trailer! It is my life-long dream to travel cross country in an RV and photograph all the national parks. This is one step closer to that dream! Here is a photo of Minnie, yes we named her!

We had a peaceful Christmas with all our children, which makes me the happiest! And my husband and I just celebrated 29 years of Marriage!

Well, I know I left a ton of stuff out, I tried to stick to creative endeavors!

If I could pick one word, I would call 2024 “BUSY”. I am hoping and praying for a more creative and quiet 2025! This year, I’d like to create another collection of work, and I’ve already started! As followers, you get a sneak peek! It's called Eternal Bloom

I look forward to the new year and sharing all my adventures with you! Thank you for coming along! Have a happy, healthy, and Blessed New Year!
