Timeline of how I became a photographic artist In 1975, my passion for nature began at an early age. I have fond memories of camping and experiencing the outdoors.

In 1987, in high school, I took a photography class; little did I know that I’d end up following in my dad's footsteps. It was the teacher, Mrs Whiteside, who spoke life into me, to pursue it in college. In 1990, that’s when I discovered portraits. I would wander the streets of Daytona Beach looking for people to capture for my college portfolio

1996-Fast forward, I married, and we moved to CA and discovered the endless beauty of the mountains. I was back to my first love of wild nature. We started a family.

Being that I could not put down my camera, 2001, I started a portrait business. This spanned over 20 years in CA and then Florida, where we moved back to.

Fast forward to 2012. Something deeper was speaking to my heart to create. An awakening of my faith began. My camera captured my daughter’s faces and my own story: unguarded eyes, tender smiles, paired with landscapes from decades in the wild.

In 2013-I sold my first art print. “Hedges” A self-portrait from my Dream Synergy Collection

2018- after creating over 11 bodies of work in 6 years, I checked something off my bucket list, a solo exhibition in New York City. This was my Tangled Up in Beauty Collection, a continuing chapter from where it all began, blending portrait with nature.

2018-I needed a new landscape to blend with portraits. My underwater work began. Mystery of Waters was my first collection underwater.

In 2020, I had 2 detached retinas in a 9-month span. To me, it was a direct spiritual attack on the work I needed to make. As soon as I could see again, I started my latest and ongoing collection called Between Worlds. This is the world I call “the in between”. These images are more than photographs; they are stories woven from longing. Each frame captures a moment of wonder, a glimpse of a world where beauty reigns untamed, where love is as boundless as the water itself.

2025-in between all of the collections I created, I continued to capture the beauty of nature scenes. After all the years of work, my collection Wanderers bloom was formed. Each frame was preceded by feelings of awe and wonder at God's creation. Also, I continued to capture large format film in portraits like Parts of the Earth series, done in 4x5, and Trees of the South, done with 8x10 film.

Throughout all the work, I always made time for “heart” images. Images made from dreams, visions, or revelations that God was speaking. It was a way to honor what stirs me. This collection of work is called “inspirations”. I look forward with hope to what tomorrow will bring for me through photography and my faith. I hope you enjoyed this timeline.
