Stirring up Creativity

Each summer, I look forward to going to the cabin. When we arrive, the first thing we do, either my mom and I or one of my daughters and I, is to cut flowers and pick wildflowers from around the property. I don’t know what it is about picking flowers, but it stirs up my creativity..

Before I even got started, I had to weed the garden after a year's growth was taking over all the flowers.

I love making tea. Since my mom is from England, I’ve been drinking tea since I was old enough to drink tea, and I’ve shared this ritual with our four kids. We used to have teatime, teatime with cookies, and it was a favorite with all my kids.

I found this adorable hydrangea umbrella online, and I just had to buy it because I knew I would do something creative with it, and when I got to the cabin and saw all the hydrangea blooms, I knew it would be perfect. So I will leave you with this.
